Adventures in Territory Wars.

Mama Kitty and I are in the topsy turvy world of the territory wars right now. When she tried to take the kitchen away from me, that was IT! I'd had it.

Then she started sleeping in my spot on the spare bed! Is she trying to run me out of this whole house? I don't think so.

The other day, I wouldn't let her in the bedroom. Usually she keeps me out, but this time it was mine! I was sleeping with my mom and Mama Kitty tried to come in with us. When she got to the doorway, I stood up on that bed and I growled and hissed. I told her she wasn't coming in here at all.

She is so sneaky. She waited and after I went back to sleep she snuck in and jumped up on the bed! Well I attacked Mama Kitty right on top on my mom. I warned her and she didn't listen. My mom yelled and made us lay down on each side of her. I wasn't very happy.

Every time Mama Kitty sleeps in one of my spots, I go sleep in one of hers! This is not over.

Sometimes Mama Kitty can be so mean. She really hurts my feelings.

The other night I was on my mom's lap trying to sleep. Next thing I know Mama Kitty is flopped down on top of me trying to get me to jump down. My mom got her to leave me alone but not for long. Mama Kitty got up and sat back down on me, shoving me. Then she got up again and sat back down shoving me again! My mom made her lay there and be nice. It didn't last long. Mama Kitty got up and squared off with me. She looked at me so mean, she was going to attack me if I didn't leave. I had to get down and let her have my spot on my mom's lap. My mom made her get down and then we were both on the floor. It really upset me and hurt my feelings.

Sometimes I'm not even allowed on the big bed with my mom or dad. Mama Kitty thinks it's all hers. I have to find another place to sleep all by myself. Sometimes when I'm not allowed in there, my mom will try to take me to bed with her anyway but I'm too scared to stay. What if Mama Kitty finds me there? She'll attack me. It's not fair

I couldn't even eat dinner when my mom put it down last night because I wasn't allowed around Mama Kitty while she was eating. I had to wait. Well keeping me from my food is just about enough!  My mom was so worried, thinking something was wrong with me last night. Then this morning she saw I wasn't eating again and when she saw how sad I was, she figured it out.... Mama Kitty tried to take control of the kitchen! Well I'm not going to miss any meals!

As soon as my mom and dad aren't around, Mama Kitty and I are going to fight this out!

Adventures Waking Up My People.

I love to wake up my mom and dad. They sleep way too much. I don't know how they can sleep so long in one place? I can take 4 or 5 naps in the time it takes for them to do one.

I wake them up so they can go sleep on the couch. Then I wake them up so they can go sleep in the window. Then I wake them up so they can go sleep on the floor. Why sleep in one place when you can sleep in a bunch of places? They always stay in bed though.

I have 3 beds in the living room, plus the couch, plus the floor, plus the window, plus on top of the dryer, plus on top of the spare bed, plus on top of my mom, plus on top of my dad. Sometimes I even sleep in their bed with them.

I like to wake up my mom up by putting my nose in her ear. She wakes right up when I do that! I stuff my nose into her ear and then purr. She always pulls the covers up over her ear when I do that. If that won't work then I use my paws to touch her mouth and touch her face. She tries to make me stop but I do it anyway. I like to lay my cheek against hers and purr when she won't get up.

I like to put my paw on my dad's mouth to wake him up. I sit on top of him and purr. I like to claw at his elbow and meow to get his attention. I like when he gets in kitty cuddle position on the couch. Sometimes I fall asleep like that.

I like to wake them up to make sure they won't be late for work. I like to wake my mom up for hugs and kisses. I get her back for all the times she wakes me up to give me kisses! Most of the time I wake them up to trick them into feeding me. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It works better with my dad than it does with my mom.

I love waking people up.

Adventures in Christmas Packaging.

This time every year my mom and dad package Christmas gifts. I love it!

They put boxes all over the floor. I love to check out all the boxes. Sometimes I try to climb in the boxes.

Then my mom wraps things in stuff she calls bubble wrap. It makes noises when we walk on it. Mama Kitty loves it. She tries to play with it.

Then they pour these things called packing peanuts in the boxes. They fly everywhere! Mama Kitty loves those too.

I like to prowl around while everything is getting packaged. I hide behind boxes and pretend I'm hunting. I like to rub my face on all the boxes.

Soon we'll be getting boxes delivered to us. Mom and dad will open the boxes and pull out presents wrapped in paper. It's fun to watch them open their presents. We love having paper to play with when they're done.
