Adventures Outside.

Yesterday Mama Kitty got a wild hair to go outside. She kept sitting in the back window howling. My mom tried to tell her it wasn't as nice out there as she thought it was. Mama Kitty didn't care. She wanted out! My mom said "ok then" and opened the door for us.

We rushed out together. It was cold and wet out there! What has gotten into Mama Kitty wanting to go out in the winter weather? She's gotten strange this year.

We ate some grass and sniffed around the ground. We prowled around under the trees looking for birds to hunt but there was nothing there. Then Mama took off toward the back fence. I didn't really want to be out but I was concerned for Mama to be out by herself.

I waited on the back porch for a while watching her but when my mom opened the back door, I was ready to be inside again. I went in. Later my dad went looking for Mama Kitty. Oops, he found a broken sprinkler. Water was running when it shouldn't have been.

About that time Mama Kitty decided she was ready to come in and get warm. But then our mom and dad had to be out in weather fixing the broken sprinkler.

I wonder if that's what Mama Kitty was trying to tell them when she was having her big fit to go outside? Mama Kitty is the smartest kitty I've ever known so I wouldn't be surprised. It sure was a good thing we went out so dad could find the problem and fix it.
